Mike Salazar

An unapologetically passionate employee safety enthusiast who exudes a can-do attitude. Mike brings a friendly face to keeping organizations OSHA compliant, and he consistently goes the extra mile to put his clients first.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Biomedical Technology, Mike started his analysis of how things work early. His professional career launched with IU Hospitals where he developed skills in problem solving with innovative solutions as a biomedical equipment technician. His next role, Clinical Engineer at Health and Hospital Corporation, built his passion for leadership as he managed teams of technical specialists. Then, in 1989, Mike opened the door to his insurance career when he became a Risk Management Consultant for PHICO Insurance Company. He joined Gregory & Appel in the mid 90s and has embodied G&A’s culture of service ever since.

Mike can often be found, boots on the ground of his clients’ properties, offering on-site guidance of how to keep their employees safe. He also heads up G&A’s internal Client Services and Claims Management team of experts. Outside of work, Mike has been active for many years with Indiana Youth Soccer and the Race to Recovery to benefit people who suffer paralysis as a result of spinal cord injuries.
