Jacob White has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to 2021. In 2007, they worked as a Computer Repair Technician at Fry's Electronics. From 2008 to 2016, they served in the United States Army as an Emergency Medical Team Leader and Project Manager, as well as a Corporate Trainer and Medical Facilitator. In 2016, they worked as a QA Test and Automation Engineer Intern at Spiceworks and as a Veterans Affairs Work-Study at Southwestern University. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at USAA as a Software Engineer I, Software Engineer II, and Software Engineer III. In 2021, they began working at Gremlin as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at USAA, they designed and developed a REST service in Spring Boot to transmit Suspicious Activity Report files, built a customer facing WAS 8.5 REST service, designed a system of Java batch jobs, and designed a UI to manage the health of an application. At Gremlin, they are currently a Senior Software Engineer.
Jacob White began their educational journey in 2012 when they attended Central Texas College for General Studies. Jacob then attended Austin Community College from 2014 to 2016, studying Computer Science. From 2015 to 2017, they attended Southwestern University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science. Jacob then moved on to Arizona State University, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Graphic Information Technology. In addition to their education, Jacob White has obtained two certifications - a Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2020, and a NREMT from the US Army in September 2008.
