Stuart Hughes

Stuart Hughes is a pharmaceutical executive with experience in both industry and academia. Stuart is currently an advisor at Grey Wolf Therapeutics, a position they have held since November 2019. Prior to that, they were a senior director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from August 2018 to November 2019. Stuart also served as a director at Vertex from October 2013 to July 2018 and as a principal research scientist at Eli Lilly from November 2008 to September 2013. Hughes began their career as a systems analyst at Convergent Business Systems from September 1992 to August 1994. Stuart then worked as a research fellow and senior lecturer at Cardiff University from January 1998 to December 2008 before joining Eli Lilly.

Stuart Hughes completed a PhD in Neuroscience at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Stuart then went on to complete an MSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the same school. Finally, they completed a BSc (Hons) in Pure & Applied Mathematics at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
