Senior Software Engineer at Greyparrot

Jim Grimmett has over 20 years of experience in software engineering, beginning with a role as a Software Engineer at Bath Information and Data Services in 1996. Jim then moved to Intracus in 1998, where they were part of the Java Servlet based LDAP enabled Gateway product. In 2000, they were head-hunted to be the IT Manager at Blitz The Net, where they were responsible for system design, purchasing, in-house support and development of products. In 2001, they joined the University of Bath as a Systems Manager, with responsibility for all IT systems, departmental IT budget and support. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer at Exabre. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Research Officer at the University of Bath, working on the Cityware project. In 2013, they began working at Altus Ltd as a Software Engineer, where they were quickly promoted to Technical Lead. In 2015, they joined LifeJak Ltd as a Senior Developer, working on cloud-based infrastructure. Finally, in 2019, they joined Keymailer Ltd as a Software Architect, providing end-to-end system and feature design. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Greyparrot, where they are committed to unlocking the financial value of waste.

Jim Grimmett received a 1st class degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Bath between 1993 and 1996.
