Gigi McGown

Gigi McGown is a highly experienced legal professional with a robust background in litigation and risk management. Currently serving as Senior Director of Legal Services at Greystar since September 2025, Gigi manages diverse litigated matters for multifamily operators and directs strategic initiatives to align legal services with company objectives. Previously, Gigi was the Senior Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel at MAA from August 2016 to September 2025, overseeing litigation strategy and ensuring compliance with laws. With prior roles including Senior Counsel at International Paper and Partner at Baskin McCarroll McCaskill & Campbell, Gigi has developed expertise in various litigation areas such as personal injury, product liability, and commercial litigation. Gigi began the legal career as a Law Clerk for Judge William Barbour and held associate attorney positions at Baker Donelson and Heidelberg & Woodliff. Gigi holds a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.
