Arthur Kressner is the current Chairman at Grid Symphony Inc. Arthur was previously the Director of Research and Development, Power Supply, at the Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. from June 1989 to July 2010. As the Director of Research and Development, they were responsible for the R&D for Con Edison and Orange and Rockland Utilities. Arthur's program focused on technology for electricity transmission, distribution, control center operations, substations, customer operations and energy efficiency. This research resulted in the development, demonstration and deployment of new power delivery equipment, software models, sensors, feasibility and engineering studies.
During their career at Con Edison, they also served as the Chief Chemical Engineer and Plant Manager of Arthur Kill and Ravenswood Power Generating Stations. Arthur has also held leadership roles at local, state and national levels in areas of energy policy, energy efficiency, customer end-use and various national environmental and public health programs. Arthur is a co-author of ”Computer-Aided Lean Management for The Energy Industry”, a book describing the application of lean management principles to the energy industry as well as co-authoring many papers related to energy efficiency, information technology, management and computer modeling. In addition, they hold several patents related to electric vehicle charging as well as several patents pending related to other inventions.
Arthur Kressner is a graduate engineer with a Bachelor degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic and Masters from New York University.
Arthur Kressner's educational career began at Stuyvesant High School. Arthur then attended New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering, where they earned a BSChE in Chemical Engineering. After working for a few years, they returned to school and earned an MS in Chemical Engineering from New York University.
