Ian Moody has extensive experience in materials engineering and research. Ian currently holds the position of Senior Materials Engineer at Gridtential Energy, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Scientist at ConductiveBio Corporation from September 2020 to August 2022. Before that, Ian held positions at Cambrios Advanced Materials Corporation and Cambrios Technologies Corporation, where they served as a Staff/Senior Research Scientist from April 2016 to September 2020 and as a Senior Research Scientist from May 2012 to February 2016, respectively.
Ian's work experience also includes a role as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Oregon, where they worked from September 2005 to May 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Materials Research Technician at DuPont Displays from February 2003 to July 2005, where they played an instrumental role in synthesizing and characterizing conductive polymers for use in organic light-emitting diode displays. Ian began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Davis, where they assisted research efforts in a chemistry lab under the guidance of Dr. Philip P. Power from January 2002 to June 2002.
Ian Moody attended Aptos High School, but no specific dates were provided for their enrollment. After graduating from high school, they attended Cabrillo College from 1997 to 2000, where they studied engineering. Following this, Moody transferred to the University of California, Davis and obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry between 2000 and 2002. Moody then pursued further studies at the University of Oregon from 2005 to 2011, where they earned both their Master of Science (M.S.) and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry.
