Katie Jereza

Katie Jereza is Vice President of External Relations and Communications for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), where she leads industry and government stakeholder engagement and oversees strategic communications. With more than 25 years of experience helping industry and government leaders break new ground in enhancing the resilience and performance of energy, water, and other critical infrastructure sectors, Jereza helps EPRI identify and fill technology gaps while driving global thought leadership.

Before joining EPRI, Jereza was Deputy Assistant Secretary of Transmission Permitting and Technical Assistance for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity. There she led national and state-level efforts to improve electricity affordability, reliability, and accessibility. Jereza also served on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Good Neighbor Environmental Board, which is tasked with advising the President and Congress on environmental and electricity infrastructure needs. She previously served as Director of Infrastructure Resilience at the Edison Electric Institute, where she helped drive renewable energy growth and electric transportation adoption. With a background in management consulting and engineering, Jereza shapes strategic approaches to address energy challenges with science-based solutions.

Jereza earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
