Courtney Adams

Courtney Adams has a diverse work experience. Courtney started their career in 2010 working as a Co-Op Member at Blue Scorcher Bakery Cafe, where they wore many hats such as barista, prep cook, baker, and cashier, and also contributed to office administrative tasks. In 2013, they moved to New Seasons Market as a Graphic Artist, where they designed in-house marketing materials and later became a Produce Clerk/Baker. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Freelance Fullstack JavaScript Developer and a Fullstack Junior Web Developer/Junior Product Owner at 6 Degrees Health, Inc. In 2019, they joined Apptio Cloudability as a Backend Software Engineer and later transferred to a team that maintained a Data pipeline written in Golang. In 2022, they moved to Gridwise as a Software Engineer. During their career, they have been involved in various tasks such as leading and shadowing several rounds of associate level, behavioral and technical interviews, participating in cross-team efforts to maintain standards in Go services, peer-mentoring their colleagues, participating in reviewing PRs, and helping implement various features.

Courtney Adams attended Clatsop Community College from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained an AAOT in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. In 2013, they attended Portland State University for courses in Graphic Design, Computer Science, and Pre-Med. From 2016 to 2017, they attended Portland State University for courses in Graphic Design and Computer Science. In 2018, they attended Thinkful for an Engineering Immersion Program in Full Stack Web Development (JavaScript).
