Joseph Chang

Joseph Chang has a wealth of professional experience in the energy and finance industries. Joseph began their career in 2006 at Ernst & Young LLP as a Senior Associate in Assurance Services, providing audit and advisory services to clients with a focus on energy trading, commodity and financial derivatives, and energy-related engineering services. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Research Associate at Stanford University's Program on Energy and Sustainable Development, where they led and conducted research on global energy policy with a focus on China, development of energy resources, and models of collaboration between national and independent oil companies. In 2012, they returned to Ernst & Young as a Senior Manager in Commodities Markets, serving clients with commodities price exposure by providing comprehensive advisory services across the front, middle, and back office, as well as regulatory compliance services on global trading regulations. In 2018, they joined GridX, Inc. as Senior Product Director and Senior Manager of Customer Success.

Joseph Chang attended Rice University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English. Joseph then attended the University of Virginia from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Accounting. In 2003, they also attended the University of Melbourne, though no degree was obtained. In 2013, they obtained an Energy Risk Professional certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
