Mark Hansen possesses extensive experience in both security and special education. Currently serving as Charge Officer of Security at Griffin Hospital since November 2016, Mark is responsible for the safety and protection of individuals on hospital premises. Prior to this role, Mark worked as a Park Ranger for the State of Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection from June 2008 to November 2016. Additionally, Mark spent over a decade as a Special Education Teacher, first at Cooperative Educational Services from August 1999 to November 2009 and then at the City of West Haven from November 2009 to December 2014, where responsibilities included delivering instruction to children with learning difficulties and supervising paraprofessional aides. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in English/Biology from Springfield College, a Master of Science in Education from the University of New Haven, and a Cross Endorsement in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
