Chris Malafa has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Chris began their career at Harte-Hanks as a Computer Graphic Illustrator, where they utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create digital artwork for advertising. Chris then moved on to Soren McAdam Christenson LLP, where they served as a Manager. In this role, they primarily worked with construction clients but also provided accounting system consulting services. Eventually, they joined Griffith Company as an IT Manager, where they supervised a team and was responsible for various IT projects related to infrastructure, network, and backup systems. Chris later became the IT Director at Griffith Company, overseeing all operational activities of the IT department and providing support for mission-critical business operations.
Chris Malafa obtained a BS degree in Accounting/Finance from the California State University-San Bernardino - College of Business and Public Administration, where they studied from 1995 to 1997. Before that, they attended Riverside City College from 1992 to 1995, majoring in Accounting. Chris also holds additional certifications, including an Amateur Radio License - Amateur Extra Class from the Federal Communications Commission, obtained in March 2017. Chris is also an Accredited Volunteer Examiner in the Amateur Radio Service, certified by W5YI since April 2017. Furthermore, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) designation from the California Board of Accountancy in July 2002.
