Margarida Carvalho

Margarida Carvalho is a seasoned professional in the food industry, currently serving as Global Senior R&D Category Manager at Griffith Foods since January 2024. Prior to this role, Margarida held the position of Head of Food at The Bread and Butter Thing, where responsibilities included procurement and supplier relationship management. Margarida's extensive experience at PepsiCo spanned nearly eight years in various roles, including Global R&D Manager for the Excellence Team and R&D Lead for Total Portfolio Optimization in Europe. Margarida has also worked at Dairy Crest, McCain Foods, and the University of Nottingham, contributing expertise in R&D, project management, and collaboration with multinational companies and universities. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Food Sciences and an MSc in Food Production Management from the University of Nottingham, along with a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Universidade de Évora.
