Richard Bruehl

Richard Bruehl is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in analytical methods development and in vitro diagnostic assay design. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Grifols since September 2014, Richard manages bioanalytical assay optimization and development for HCV and HIV antigen product release within a GMP environment. Prior to this role, Richard held various positions at Bio-Rad Laboratories, including R&D Manager, where responsibilities included managing assay development laboratories and optimizing product development processes with significant budget oversight. Richard's earlier career includes leadership roles at Berkeley Antibody Company, focusing on immunochemistry. Richard holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
