Catherine Smith is an accomplished architect currently working at Grimm + Parker Architects since June 2018. Prior experience includes serving as the Emerging Professionals Liaison for AIA Central Virginia from December 2019 to August 2021, where Catherine represented architecture students and early-career professionals. Additionally, Catherine held the role of Interim Director of Admissions & Financial Aid at The University of Virginia School of Architecture from September 2014 to June 2018, managing admissions processes and recruitment events. Early career experience includes positions as an Architectural Extern at BRW Architects, an intern at Parker Mudgett Smith Architects, and various roles in the hospitality industry. Catherine earned a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
