Ron van der Westhuizen

Ron van der Westhuizen has over 10 years of work experience in various roles in the logistics and waste management industry. Ron worked as a Solutions Development Lead at Grindrod since 2018. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager: Business Development at Barloworld Logistics from 2012 to 2017. Ron started their career at EnviroServ Waste Management Services in 2008 and held positions such as Regional Assistant Manager and National Outsourcing Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for managing transportation depots, creating budgets, managing sub-contractors, and implementing various initiatives such as tracking systems and owner driver schemes.

Ron van der Westhuizen attended the University of Johannesburg from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.Com Honours degree in Logistics. During their studies, they focused on various subjects including Logistics, Marketing, Business Management, Strategic Management, and Transport Economics.
