Katherine Bagley

Katherine Bagley is an experienced journalist and editor with a focus on environmental science and climate issues. Currently serving as Executive Editor at Grist since March 2021 and formerly the Managing Editor, Katherine has extensive freelance experience, contributing to various prominent publications such as Popular Science, Inside Climate News, and Audubon since 2007. Previous roles include Story Editor at Massive Science Inc., Managing Editor and Web Editor at Yale Environment 360, and Reporter at InsideClimate News, where Katherine led initiatives to enhance climate coverage and social media engagement. Katherine has also been an Adjunct Instructor at Barnard College, teaching science and environmental journalism. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Magazine and Science Journalism, a Master of Arts in Earth and Environmental Science from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science from St. Lawrence University.
