Teresa Chin

Teresa Chin is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in multimedia news coverage. Currently serving as the Deputy Editor at Grist since October 2018, Teresa oversees the data and graphics team and leads innovative storytelling initiatives across departments. Previously, as a Senior Editor at Grist, Teresa managed special projects and online strategies for the publication. Teresa's background includes working as a Senior Producer at Youth Radio, collaborating with young creators to produce content for major national outlets, and freelancing as a science and health reporter for various publications. Teresa's diverse career also features roles in health education, technical assistance coordination, and teaching. Teresa holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and a Master's in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, where a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology was also earned.
