Rula Awwad-Rafferty is a board member at Gritman Medical Center. Rula was previously a professor at the University of Idaho, where they taught landscape architecture, community design, and cultural landscape. Rula also served as an associate professor of bioregional planning and community design. During their time at the University of Idaho, they helped develop the curriculum for the Community Design Focus program. Rula also co-taught two landscape architecture studios in Cascade, ID and Priest River, ID. In addition, they chaired graduate student committees and worked on facilitating several other graduate student projects.
Rula Awwad-Rafferty has a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Architecture, Political Science, Anthropology, and Industrial Design from Washington State University. Rula also has a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Yarmouk University.
