Joni Parkkinen

Joni Parkkinen is an experienced professional in the power and energy sector, currently serving as the Area Manager for Power Substations & Industry at GRK since August 2025. Prior to this role, Joni held various leadership positions at Enersense International Oyj, including Head of Maintenance & Services, Vice President of Transmission Networks, and Vice President of Services from November 2020 to July 2025. Joni also contributed to the Empower group from July 2015 to November 2020 as Vice President of Services for the Power Division, along with previous roles as Maintenance Manager and Sales & Development Manager. Earlier experiences include positions as Business Unit Manager at Enegia and Portfolio Manager at Skapat Energia Oy (Enegia), along with an Electricity Procurement Expert role at Vattenfall Distribution Finland. Joni's foundational experience began as a Thesis worker at Vattenfall and various roles at UPM-Kymmene Oyj. Joni holds a Master of Science in Power Systems and Market and a Bachelor of Science in Electric Power Technology from Tampere University of Technology.
