Iosif Kanakaris is an experienced Information Technology professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades. Currently serving as an Information Technology Analyst and Deputy Head of the Analysis Department at GRNET since October 2020, Iosif also manages the EUGO platform project. As the sole owner of Open for Business since 2006, Iosif delivers customer-focused projects in CRM, web development, e-commerce, Business Intelligence, and more. Previous roles include Technical Manager for the Web Department at parapolitika.gr and Parapolitika Group, and Technical and Pre-Sales Consultant at Information Dynamics S.A. with early experience in IT at Commercial Capital S.A. and as a Technical Consultant at Softland LTD. Iosif holds a BSc in Systems and Information Sciences from Stockholm University, earned between 1989 and 1993.

GRNET holds a key role as the coordinator of all e-infrastructures in Education and Research. With twenty-plus years’ experience in the fields of advanced network, cloud computing and IT infrastructures and services, and significant international presence, GRNET shall advise the Ministry of Digital Governance on issues relating to the design of advanced information systems and infrastructures.
