Vasileios Kokkinos is an experienced software developer and engineer with a robust background in project supervision and proposal writing for national and European initiatives. Currently active at GRNET since January 2015, Vasileios has contributed to projects such as the GEANT Research and Education Networking under the H2020-EU framework. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Patras from 2003 to 2014, where Vasileios supervised various stages of project development and participated in significant initiatives like the InCompass project. Additional experience encompasses software development at the Computer Technology Institute & Press "Diophantus," as well as consultancy roles across multiple projects related to network infrastructure and academic program reforms. Vasileios holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and Informatics, a Master's degree in Electronics and Information Processing, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, all from the University of Patras.

GRNET – National Infrastructures for Research and Technology, provides networking and cloud computing services to academic and research institutions, to educational bodies at all levels, and to agencies of the public, broader public and private sector. GRNET holds a key role as the coordinator of all e-infrastructures in Education and Research. With twenty-plus years’ experience in the fields of advanced network, cloud computing and IT infrastructures and services, and significant international presence, GRNET shall advise the Ministry of Digital Governance on issues relating to the design of advanced information systems and infrastructures.
