Chris Kurose has a diverse background in video production and cinematography. Chris currently holds the position of Head of Video & Content Production at Grokker since December 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Video Producer at Udacity, where they were responsible for producing video content for the Blockchain Developer Nanodegree, managing a team of post-production specialists, and serving as a cinematographer for various marketing videos and interviews. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Media Producer at Realm, leading the company's content marketing strategy and producing mobile development videos. Before that, they gained experience as a cinematographer and videographer in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In addition, they worked as a Cinematography Instructor and Director of Photography at Inclusion Films, developing curriculum and teaching cinematography to developmentally disabled adults. Chris started their career as a Production Assistant and Camera Assistant in Boston, MA.
Chris Kurose received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology from Bowdoin College in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the University of Southern California, which they completed in 2013.
