Senior Engineer at Groopit

Jason Burek has worked in the software engineering field since 2002. Jason began their career as a Software Development Engineer (intern) at Microsoft's Natural Language Group, where they wrote a new parse engine for a prototype compiler. In 2003, they moved to Microsoft's Windows Live Messenger team, where they rearchitected and refactored the IM system. In 2007, they joined HTC as a Senior Software Design Engineer, where they built Android applications and made modifications to core Android components. In 2016, they became a Senior Engineer at Groopit, where they were the sole developer on the Android application and took over sole development of the iOS application. In 2017, they joined Hestan Smart Cooking Inc as a Senior Android Engineer, where they worked with a small team of developers to deliver the Android application that controlled the cooktop and allowed users to browse recipes.

Jason Burek earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Maryland between 1999 and 2003.
