Dan Ferguson is a co-founder and serves as the head of Strategy and Consulting for Groove Jones and works with our clients to advise them on digital strategies and XR technologies to solve their business needs.

A creative technologist at heart, Dan has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world to innovate and engage with their audiences – American Airlines, AT&T, Kraft, LEGO, Microsoft, Toyota, and U.S. Air Force, Universal Studios.

Dan has extensive experience in mobile App development working with world class brands. Prior to Groove Jones, he founded the company Blockdot where served as Creative Director and lead the design and strategy behind the official American Airlines App, the most installed travel App in history. He also led the design and strategy of the official CarMax and Cinemark business Apps.

Dan has developed over 200 game titles including LEGO’s first iPad App. He has had over a dozen mobile apps selected by Apple as “Best in Category” as well as having his App work featured in numerous Apple commercials.

Brandweek Magazine named Dan “Marketer of the Next Generation” for his work with brand engagement. He is considered the forefather of Advergaming and Gamification – the practice of using game mechanics and techniques for advertising and marketing purposes.
