Andrew Bitar

Andrew Bitar is a highly experienced compiler engineer and manager, currently serving as Principal Compiler Engineer at Groq since December 2020, where previous titles include Sr. Staff Compiler Engineer and Staff Compiler Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as Deep Learning Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, leading the DLA team, and developing compiler optimization for Intel's OpenCL/HLS compiler. Andrew also worked at Altera in advanced design, supported engineering education as a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, and contributed as a volunteer consultant and participant in social enterprises. Andrew's educational background includes a Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, culminating from esteemed Canadian institutions.
