Chris Middlemass

Chris Middlemass is an experienced talent acquisition professional with a strong background in G&A and marketing recruitment. Currently serving as a Talent Acquisition Partner at Groq since February 2025, Chris leads recruiting efforts for foundational finance, legal, and marketing teams while providing support across other non-tech leadership roles. Previously, Chris was a Founding Member at Syelo, an exclusive community for top internal recruiters, and served as Lead Recruiter/Head of Talent Acquisition at Sleeper, overseeing the TA function strategy. Also held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition at CaptivateIQ, managing GTM and G&A hiring and overseeing employer branding with a team of four, and was the Head of Talent Acquisition at Gladly, Inc., leading a team of five and handling all aspects of hiring and candidate experience. Chris holds A Levels in English Literature, French, Geography, and General Studies from Ravens Wood School and graduated from the University of the West of England.
