Lachlan Donald

Lachlan Donald is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering Infrastructure at Groq since June 2024, Lachlan is responsible for building a team to enhance engineering operations. As Director at Strongwater Consulting since October 2016, Lachlan provides freelance CTO consulting services to startups globally. Previous roles include CTO Advisory/Board Member at Covidence.org, Founder and CTO at PatientNotes.app, and Principal Engineer at Cash App, where Lachlan led technical strategy for the cloud platform. Lachlan co-founded Buildkite, serving as CEO and COO, and played a key role in raising a significant Series A round. Additionally, Lachlan has experience as a CTO Advisor for several companies, including Glow and Sidekicker, and served as CTO at 99designs, overseeing substantial growth and development of the design platform. Lachlan holds a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science from RMIT University.
