Tobias Becker

Tobias Becker is an experienced professional in the field of silicon engineering and research and development. Since May 2025, Tobias serves as the Director of Silicon Engineering at Groq. Prior to this role, Tobias held various positions at Maxeler Technologies from December 2014 to May 2025, including VP of Research and Development, VP of Research, and Head of MaxAcademy. From September 2010 to December 2014, Tobias worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Imperial College London. Earlier in Tobias's career, two internships were completed at Xilinx in 2004 and 2005. Tobias holds a PhD in Computing from Imperial College London and a Dipl. Ing in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
