Amber Henness is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in teaching and specialized learning support. Currently serving as a Learning Specialist and ESL Teacher at The Grosse Pointe Academy since November 2017, Amber also teaches Slowflow and Hot Vinyasa at Grosse Pointe's new yoga studio. Previously, Amber was a Literacy Coach and Teacher at East Detroit Public Schools for over two decades before retirement in January 2017. Amber holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Wayne State University.
