Katherine Parent

Katherine Parent is an accomplished English teacher at Grosse Pointe Public School System, where responsibilities include teaching Honors Freshman English and American Literature since August 2014. Prior to this role, Katherine served as Assistant Director for the University of Michigan Educational Theatre Company from September 2011 to August 2014, contributing to educational sketches on important social issues such as race/gender relations and mental health awareness. Additionally, Katherine completed a student teaching placement at Beach Middle School in early 2014, focusing on developing and implementing a comprehensive ELA unit. Katherine holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
