Sarah Neely

Elementary School Teacher at Grosse Pointe Public School System

Sarah Neely has an extensive background in education and coaching, serving as an Elementary School Teacher and Assistant Track and Field Coach within the Grosse Pointe Public School System since September 1994. Sarah Neely has also contributed as a Teacher Advisory Board member for Teaching Tolerance, advising curriculum modifications to better serve a multicultural student body from May 2015 to April 2020. Notable roles include being a Galileo Leader with the GALILEO Leadership Consortium from May 2017 to May 2019, and serving on the Religious Education Committee at Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church in 2011-2012. Previously, Sarah Neely taught intellectually gifted students at Grosse Pointe Schools and a gifted and talented fifth-grade class at Detroit Public Schools. Academically, Sarah Neely holds a Master of Arts in Computers in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
