Richard Behr

Richard Behr has served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Classic Hotels & Resorts, a Grossman affiliate, since 2007. In 2019, Richard was named Executive Vice President of Grossman Company Properties, and he now serves concurrent roles. Richard leads the operations and profitability of GCP and a growing collection of hotels while achieving optimum operating standards and efficiencies. Richard brings over 30 years of experience and leadership working with prestigious hotel companies including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, The Phoenician Resort, Arizona Biltmore, and Royal Palms Resort & Spa.

Richard has been the recipient of numerous industry awards bestowed by Mobil, AAA, and Conde’ Nast and was appointed to the Governor’s Tourism Alliance. In addition, he has served on the boards of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Richard earned a degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
