April Baker has extensive experience in educational leadership and teaching. Currently serving as Principal at Grossmont Union High School District since August 2015, April has worked collaboratively with a team to manage a school of approximately 1700 students. Roles include responsibilities in testing, athletics, special education, attendance, and discipline. Prior experience includes positions as Digital Learning Coach, where April facilitated technology integration during a 1:1 Chromebook rollout, and as an Instructor for the San Diego County Office of Education, co-developing the English Tier I program. Additional roles encompass English teaching at both Grossmont Middle College High School and Mount Miguel High School, alongside leading a credit recovery program. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in English, a Single Subject Credential, and an Administrative Services Credential, all from National University.
