Jari Soini

Jari Soini began their work experience as a Software Engineer and Co-founder at Tietosärmä Oy, where they designed and implemented Windows desktop applications in the field of telecommunications. Jari then worked as a Project Manager and Partner at the same company, leading a successful project organization and managing multiple telecom sector development projects. Jari later joined Plenware Oy as a Project Manager and Production Director, overseeing offshore desktop software development projects. Jari then worked as the Director of SW Development at Cybercom China, providing mobile and embedded SW application development services to Fortune 500 consumer electronics and telecom sector clients. Jari also held a temporary management consulting role at Digia, where they created strategic options to increase sales and profitability in China. After that, they joined Arcanys as the Senior Vice President of SW Development, leading and building a world-class software development organization. Jari also worked as an Advisor at Code Adventures, where they supported strategy, funding, and investor relationships. Jari then joined Smarp as the EVP of SW Engineering and CTO, leading an international product development organization. Jari later became the Vice President at ExpressVPN and is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Ground Labs, where they lead and builds software engineering and product management organizations in the field of cybersecurity.

Jari Soini has a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering and Industrial Management from Tampere University of Technology, which they obtained between 1965 and 2018. Jari also pursued studies in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of Maryland. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Elements of AI from the University of Helsinki in 2023, Executive Data Science from Johns Hopkins University in 2016, Introduction to Big Data from the University of California, San Diego in 2016, and Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance.
