Mike Nibelle

Mike Nibelle is an experienced GIS Engineer currently working at Groundsure since October 2022, focusing on big data processing with PySpark, API creation for data visualization, and managing efficient data pipelines using Apache Airflow. Prior roles include Senior Consultant at 1Spatial, and various positions at Groundsure, including Principal GIS Specialist, Senior GIS Technician, and GIS Technician. Additional experience includes working as Communities Manager at Brandwatch and a Marketing Data Executive at Shard Media Group, where responsibilities involved CRM management. Mike began as a Junior Geoscientist at MG3 before taking on leadership roles as Social Secretary for SUSUtv and Dinghy Instructor at Spinnaker Sailing Club. A Master of Science in Geology/Earth Science was obtained from the University of Southampton, complemented by A Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Geology, as well as GCSEs in Science, Mathematics, and English from Ringwood School.
