Carina Ren is an accomplished academic in the fields of tourism and cultural innovation, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Aalborg University Copenhagen since August 2013, where responsibilities include managing research projects and supervising Master's students. Ren also heads the AAU Arctic initiative, focusing on enhancing Arctic research collaborations. Previous roles include Senior Associate Advisory and Chief Research Officer at GROUP NAO, as well as earlier academic positions at Aalborg University, the University of Southern Denmark, and the University of Copenhagen, with a PhD in tourism and cultural communication from the University of Southern Denmark. Ren's extensive educational background includes a Master's degree in European Ethnology from the University of Copenhagen and studies at Aix-Marseille University.
