Jake Rooney

Jake Rooney is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in business development and investment banking. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Development Officer at group.one since June 2022, Jake previously held significant roles at one.com from June 2020 to April 2023, including Chief Business Development Officer and Head of M&A and Business Development. Additional experience includes Vice President of Investment Banking at Torch Partners (2017 - June 2020) and Associate in Investment Banking at Jarden (formerly First NZ Capital) from 2012 to 2017. Jake began a career in finance as a Finance Tutor at the University of Otago from 2011 to 2012. Educationally, Jake holds a Master of Business (MBus) in Finance with Distinction, along with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance and Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics, all obtained from the University of Otago.
