Frederic Belanger

Frederic Belanger has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Frederic started their career as a Field Technician at COGEMAT INC in October 2005 and worked there until June 2006. In June 2006, they joined GHD as a Project Manager, where they primarily focused on Phase II Environmental Site Characterization and Site Rehabilitation projects. Frederic stayed with GHD for over 11 years, until November 2019. In January 2020, Frederic joined Groupe ABS as a Project Director, where they are currently working.

Frederic Belanger's education history includes a M.Ing. degree in Environmental Engineering from École de technologie supérieure, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a D.E.I.A. degree in Environmental Impact Assessment from Concordia University from 2002 to 2004. Frederic also holds a B.A. degree in Geography from Concordia University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Frederic received their DEC in Social Sciences from Vanier College, where they studied from 1993 to 1995. Frederic completed their high school education and obtained a General diploma from Pierrefonds Comprehensive H.S. from 1987 to 1992.

In addition to their formal education, Frederic Belanger has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they received the Petroleum Oriented Safety Training (POST) certification from the Ontario Petroleum Contractors Association (OPCA). Frederic also holds the ICS-100 (Incident Command System) and ICS-200 (Incident Command System) certifications, which they obtained from Oil Spill Response Ltd in October 2014. In June 2015, Frederic obtained the ICS I - 300 (EC2014) certification from eCompliance.com. Lastly, in February 2017, they became an Expert reconnu du MDDELCC after completing the program offered by the Ministère du Développement Durable, de l'Environnement, de la Faune et des Parcs (MDDEFP).
