Bernard Gourion

Bernard Gourion has a diverse work experience in the field of quantitative finance. Bernard currently works at Groupe BPCE as the Head of Research and Development and Quantitative Watch, where they lead a team responsible for quantitative technological watch and research. Prior to this, they held roles at Natixis as an Expert Quant on Equity and Hybrid Equity Derivatives and as an Expert in Transversal Quantitative Financial Studies. Bernard also worked as a Director at Investance Partners, the Head of Financial Risks at ECOFI INVESTISSEMENTS, and the Head of Risk at Algodeal, a start-up company in the high-frequency trading industry. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Exane derivatives, Natixis, IXIS CIB - NATIXIS, and Societe Generale.

Bernard Gourion completed a three-year doctoral program in Quantitative Finance at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Finance and Banking Management with a focus on Quantitative Finance from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne from 1996 to 1997. Bernard also holds a Master's degree in Economic Analysis, Modelisation And Quantitative Methods from Université d'Évry from 1995 to 1996. In addition, Bernard Gourion obtained an AMF Certification from Autorités des Marchés Financiers in 2015.
