Frédéric Duguay became the first General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Canada Infrastructure Bank (“CIB”) in November 2018. In this role, Frédéric is responsible for leading legal affairs, corporate secretariat, as well as CIB's compliance and regulatory activities, including establishing legal and governance structures for investment operations and responding to access to information requests.
Before joining BIC, Frédéric was a partner at Hansell s.rl. where he represented several boards of directors, shareholders and senior management teams in the context of special situations, crisis management, relations between stakeholders and commitments between them, board effectiveness, and the development of governance policies. Frédéric also held increasingly senior positions with the Ontario Securities Commission.
Frédéric is a member of the Ontario Bar and is a graduate of the University of Ottawa.
