Nicholas Hsu

Nicholas Hsu has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Nicholas began their career as an Actuarial Technician at Industrielle Alliance in 2006 and worked there until 2009. Nicholas then joined Great-West Life as an Actuary from 2009 to 2012. Following that, Hsu worked at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia as an Actuary from 2013 to 2019. Currently, they are the Director of Business Intelligence at GroupHEALTH Benefit Solutions, a position they have held since June 2019.

Nicholas Hsu completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of British Columbia from 2000 to 2006. In 2008, they obtained certifications as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans and as a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from the Life Office Management Association. In 2010, Nicholas earned the designation of Professional Risk Manager (PRM) from the Professional Risk Managers' International Association and became a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) from the Society of Actuaries. In 2012, they attained the titles of Fellow, Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Fellow, Society of Actuaries (FSA) from the Society of Actuaries.
