Chris Thomas

Chris Thomas has worked in various roles since 2013. Chris started their career at Boeing as a Systems Design and Integration Specialist, where they created inbound and outbound Federated connections using PingFederate for various SaaS providers and Cloud vendors. Chris also utilized logfiles for Pre-Prod and Production troubleshooting, including Splunk and SAML Tracer, and maintained IdP and SP certificates to ensure encryption standards were followed. Chris then worked as a Network Engineer, providing wide-ranging tier 3-level support for LAN/WI-FI Incident Management/Major Incident Management issues, traveling to all Boeing factories and verifying WI-FI signal to enable tablet work on the factory floors, and working with vendors and contractors to install WI-FI and RFID solutions for office and factory locations nationwide. Chris then served as a System and Data Analyst, utilizing IBM’s AppScan to scan internal COTS applications for different vulnerabilities while working with teams to resolve the findings, creating Disaster Recovery plans for all internal applications as needed, and ensuring that all applications within the Business and Supply Chain Systems complied with the newest Access Control Policy and Access Validation standards. Chris also served as a System Integrator. In 2021, Chris began working at GroupSense as a Security Operations Manager, where they create IT policies and procedures to ensure the company's security and resources and develops and maintains the Risk Management program. Chris also acquires, stages, repairs, and ships company-owned devices to employees as needed, and works to ensure SOC 2 Type II Compliance, leading the related compliance process with the goal of complaint ISO 27001 in 2024.

Chris Thomas holds a Master's degree in Cyber Security Management from Washington University in St. Louis - University College and a Bachelor's degree in Information System Technologies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Python for Data Science from IBM (2021) and Leadership At All Levels from the MIT Sloan School of Management (2020).
