Clarence Wooten has over 15 years of experience in the tech industry. In 2021, they began working as the Director & Entrepreneur In Residence at X, the moonshot factory, where they develop moonshots in the early pipeline. In 2019, they founded and became the General Partner of Revitalize Venture Studio, a venture studio focused on changing the complexion of tech by co-founding break-out software startups led by black founders and diverse teams. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Founder, Initial CEO & Chairman of Progressly, a company that aimed to become the new standard for how teams find and execute business processes. Progressly was acquired by Box in 2018. In 2017, they founded STEAM Role, a mobile app that helps students and aspiring professionals discover who they can become and how to get there by following successful STEM/STEAM professionals. Clarence also founded and became the CEO of Arrived in 2011, a company that made it easy to notify specific people whenever one arrived at a place that was relevant to them. In addition, they were the Founder of VentureFund.io in 2014, a company that reduced the friction of startup funding by helping startups build relationships with investors though data. Clarence was also the Founding Board Member of Climb Hire in 2019, an accelerated training program to prepare overlooked and hidden talent for entry-level tech jobs. Clarence was also the Founder & Executive Chairman of Groupsite from 2006 to 2017, a company that created an affordable community platform for mission-driven groups. In 2009, they became a Member of the Board of Trustees at Philadelphia University. Lastly, in 2017 they were an Investor in Kylie.ai, an AI that clones employee personalities to automate conversations between a company and its customers.

Clarence Wooten received a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Management from The Johns Hopkins University.
