Product Analytics at Grove Collaborative

Alexander Johnson has a strong background in data analysis and product analytics. Alexander started their professional career as a Design Apprentice at Ernie Yim Design & Construction Ltd. in 2016. Alexander then transitioned to the finance industry, working as a Research Analyst & Junior Trader at Puma Capital, LLC from 2017 to 2018. In this role, they collaborated with the head of Corporate Equity Solutions and software engineers to launch the PumaSET investment banking website, performed analysis and risk assessment of distressed equities, and utilized Bloomberg Terminal and OMS systems for research and trading activities.

After that, Alexander moved to MediaMath in 2019, where they first worked as a Marketing Engineer from January to May, and then as a Data Analyst from June 2019 to May 2020. Here, they gained experience in data analysis and marketing, using their skills to support the company's marketing activities and analyze data for insights.

In 2020, Alexander joined Macy's as a Product Analytics & Experimentation specialist, focusing on e-commerce. Alexander worked there from June 2020 to June 2021, using data analysis to optimize product performance and conduct experiments.

Following their experience at Macy's, Alexander joined Peloton Interactive in June 2021 as a Product Analyst, primarily focusing on e-commerce. Alexander transitioned to the role of Data Scientist in June 2022 until September 2022, gaining valuable experience in data science and analytics within the e-commerce industry.

In 2023, Alexander took on new opportunities, beginning at Lucky Dog Animal Rescue as a Volunteer in January, and then moving to Grove Collaborative as a Product Analytics professional, starting in January as well.

Alexander Johnson completed their Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Durham University from 2014 to 2017. Alexander then studied Fullstack Software Engineering at Columbia University from 2018 to 2019. Alexander is currently pursuing a Master of Computer Science (MSCS) degree at Tufts University, starting in 2020. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including Programmatic 101 Certification and Terminal One DSP Certification from MediaMath in May 2019, and a Fullstack Software Engineering Certification (Web Development) from Columbia University in December 2018. Alexander also holds the Series 7 and Series 63 certifications from FINRA, obtained in December 2017 and January 2018 respectively.
