Daniel Peters has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Formulation Technician for Aerotek. In 2007, they moved to 3M as a Product Development Chemist. In 2011, they became a Graduate Student Researcher at North Carolina State University, where they produced cellulose nanocrystals from cotton sources and assembled them using azide-alkyne cycloaddition 'click' chemistry and anthracene uv dimerization. Daniel also attached BSA protein to cellulose nanocrystals and bonded them, which were then characterized by gel electrophoresis, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. In 2015, they became a Production Engineering Lead and Chemist for CandleScience. Finally, in 2016, they joined Grow Fragrance as a Technical Director and Lead Product Development Engineer. In this role, they managed a rapidly growing Production team of Production Chemists and Technicians to support product portfolio growth and 300% YoY growth. Daniel also formulated all 10-room spray air fresheners based on fragrance profile, bio-based claim, and GHS safety claims. Additionally, they designed and scaled-up pilot production to 55-gallon lots with a custom built and designed Semi-Automated filling system programmed with Python, and created a raw material inventory control system and linked product batch creation paperwork to ensure QC was in place.
Daniel Peters attended North Carolina State University from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering.
