Michele Cappellini

Michele Cappellini has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Michele is currently serving as the CIO at Growens since May 2017, where they oversee the company's ICT strategy and manages various IT departments, including Integration & Data Analytics, Digital Workplace, IT Procurement, Technology Innovation, and Cyber Security.

Prior to this, they worked as an Innovation Manager at Cobox coworking starting from June 2020.

From March 2013 to April 2017, Michele was an IT Manager at MailUp, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining the strategic plan for the Technology Operation team, Network/Security team, and DevOps team. Michele also approved vendors, monitored their financial condition, and supervised major projects, priorities, standards, procedures, and overall IT performance. Before becoming an IT Manager, they served as a Technology & Infrastructure Engineer at MailUp from June 2011 to February 2013.

From July 2009 to June 2011, they worked as a Senior Network Engineer at NTT, where they supported major customers in evolving and supporting their IP networks and Data Centers as part of the Professional Services Delivery Network Integration team.

From February 2008 to June 2009, they served as a Network Engineer at Devoteam auSystems Spa, working as a consultant at Sky Italia. In this role, they provided support, planning, troubleshooting, network devices installation/maintenance/configuration, and implemented various network technologies for the satellite TV broadcaster.

Prior to that, from January 2007 to December 2007, they worked as the Chief Network Operator at Lutech NEST2 S.p.A., serving as the chief troubleshooter for VIP clients with various connectivity options and remotely configuring Cisco devices at the client's site.

Michele began their career as a Network Administrator at Istituti Ospitalieri di Cremona from September 2005 to February 2006, where they implemented a high-reliability firewall for creating a DMZ and enabling internet access and communication with suppliers.

Michele Cappellini pursued their education in a chronological order starting from 2000 to 2006, where they attended Politecnico di Milano and earned a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science Engineering. In 2010, they attended Fast Lane in Utrecht (NL) and completed the course on Implementing Cisco Data Center Network Infrastructure (DCNI). In 2013, they received training from HP Education and achieved the ITIL Foundation certification. Continuing in 2017, they attended AWS and became an AWS SysOps Administrator Associate. Michele further expanded their education in 2021, by participating in the CORSO SISTEMI ISO 56002 DI GESTIONE DELL’INNOVAZIONE program at Lapetre and completing the Evolutionary Leadership course at Bloomlife. Additionally, they gained expertise in networking through Europa Networking - Cisco Net Academy between 2006 and 2008 and became a Cisco Certified professional with CCNA and CCNP credentials.
