Afton Bell

Afton Bell is an experienced communication and engagement professional currently serving as the Communications & Engagement Manager at Growing Chefs since November 2021, and as a Transition Support Specialist at ONE TO ONE Literacy Society since September 2018, where Afton plays a key role in the delivery of literacy programs and collaborates on innovative tutoring initiatives. Afton has a strong background in project coordination, having worked as an Independent Contractor since December 2016 to support organizational goals. Previous roles include Program Coordinator at Growing Chefs, Central Poll Supervisor for Elections Canada, and Corporate Communications & Investor Relations Coordinator at Boardwalk REIT. Afton holds a Diploma of Technology (Honours) in Marketing Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (Social Justice) from the University of Victoria.
