Steve Viola

Steve Viola is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Growing Up Green Charter Schools since July 2014. In this role, Steve leads the strategic direction and operational management of the organization, enhancing experiences for students and staff while managing senior leaders across various departments. Previously, Steve held roles including Managing Director of Operations, Assistant School Leader, and Operations Manager at the same institution, where responsibilities included overseeing daily operations, improving educational outcomes, and establishing operational frameworks. Prior experience also includes teaching mathematics at KIPP NYC and Bronx Preparatory Charter School. Steve holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Arts in Mathematics Teacher Education from New York University and a certificate in District Leadership from Bank Street College of Education.
