Michael Hanson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael founded Growth Genie in 2019 and currently serves as the Founder & CEO, as well as a Public Speaker. In 2016, Michael worked at Opinno as a Content Manager, where they designed and managed the content for large-scale innovation events. Michael facilitated design thinking workshops, designed event themes and breakout sessions, recruited keynote speakers, and facilitated relationships between investors and entrepreneurs. In 2014, they worked as an Account Manager at InnoCentive, managing open innovation Challenges for various clients and sectors, including pharma, neuroscience robotics, and international development.

Michael Hanson attended St Paul's School from 2002 to 2007, where they studied Politics, English Literature, Spanish, and Art at the A-levels level. Following this, they went on to the University of Nottingham from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Politics. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a UK Driver's Licence from the DVLA in October 2009. It is also mentioned that they have a European Computers Drivers Licence (ECDL) but no specific dates or institution are provided for this certification.
